The Employees of Devnya Cement participate in the “Let’s clean Bulgaria for 1 day” national campaign

On 10.05.2012, Devnya Cement AD became a part of the „World Cleanup 2012” campaign by dedicating a day of cleaning Devnya Municipality as well as the areas around the Company premises. Approximately 130 employees and subcontractors took a part in this initiative. The event was opened by Mr. Nabil Francis, Managing Director of the Company and Ms. Eli Ivanova, Deputy Mayor of Devnya welcomed all participants and thanked them for their commitment.
The remarkable results were the removal of a total of 8 trucks of waste from the neighboring living quarter, which is an equivalent of approximately 100 tons of waste that were removed from the Municipality and transported to a waste depot facility. Furthermore, on the Company grounds, the employees were able to clean, sweep and paint the curbs and benches, placing their own special touch on refreshing the work environment.

Devnya Cement AD presents its New Line project at the BULGARIA: BUSINESS UP First Annual International Investment Conference

Devnya Cement AD was one of the honored guests in the panel “Bulgaria – dreamland for investors” – Investors meet the government on May 11th, 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria during the first Bulgaria: Business UP Conference. The Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Mr. Delyan Dobrev opened the session together with the Deputy Minister of Finance Ms. Boryana Pencheva starting the dialogue between government and business. Mr. Nabil Francis presented the New Cement Production Line project valued at EUR 160 M in front of a large audience of key government representatives, top executives, businesspeople, leading economists, international experts and ambassadors from Bulgaria and abroad.

Devnya Cement AD – Italcementi Group defines innovation with a new high-tech laboratory & transparent cement



The International leader in building materials Italcementi Group, part of which is the Bulgarian company Devnya Cement, inaugurated its new and unique Research and Innovation Centre – i.lab in the Italian city of Bergamo on April 16, 2012.  The Italian Minister of Environment Corrado Clini cut the ribbon in front of a large audience including Giampiero Pesenti, Italcementi Chairman, Carlo Pesenti, the company’s CEO, and the Group top management. Also attending were representatives and journalists from 18 countries where Italcementi Group operates.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov awards Devnya Cement AD with the Class A Investment Certificate

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Delian Dobrev and the Minister of Regional Development Liliana Pavlova attended the official launching ceremony for the construction of the new production line for clinker and cement of "Devnya Cement "AD held on 10.04.2012. The official Groundbreaking ceremony was opened by Mr. Fabrizio Donega, Dep. General Manager Ciments Français – Italcementi Group and Mr. Nabil Francis, Managing Director of Devnya Cement AD and Vulkan Cement AD with a warm welcome to all officials and guests and a big expression of gratitude for all of the support received from the Bulgarian Government. Minister Dobrev addressed the audience with a short speech on the importance of the company’s committed investment of 160 Million Euro for the construction of the new line in terms of regional economic development.

New Mobile Lab on the way to provide high-level cusomer service 
Devnya Cement AD released its newest customer service tool - its new Mobile Laboratory - the first of its kind on the Bulgarian market, differentiating the company through its provision of the highest level of customer service.
On Friday, March 30,2012 the Mobile Laboratory took its first trip to Targovishte to provide its first ‘at your feet’ service to the customers if RADITA company.
