Therefore, we are well aware that the human resources are the main capital of the company. Our efforts and means are directed mostly towards developing the potential of the employees, improving their qualification, enriching their knowledge and experience, improving labour conditions and increasing the standard of living of the workers and their families. We follow specially approved staff procedures, which we apply, and we also conduct various trainings for our employees, according to their needs. After its entry into the Bulgarian market in 1998, with the acquisition of Devnya Cement, and in 1999, with the acquisition of Vulkan Cement, Italcementi Group, which is the fifth largest cement producer in the world and a leader in the Mediterranean region, continues the established traditions in the area of human resources and has adopted a successful corporate personnel policy. Italcementi Group now has 21 000 employees in 22 countries worldwide. 500 people work for Italcementi Group Bulgaria, and the company also provides employment to another almost 1500 people, whose jobs depend on the company activities.
