Ever since civilizations first started to build, we've sought a material that would bind stones into a solid, formed mass. Portland cement today, as in Aspdin's day, is a hydraulic mixture, elaborated from the baking and milling of selected raw materials, according to a rigorous environmental control and product quality.
The entire production process - from the excavation of the raw materials to the storage of the finished products in the silos - is monitored, controlled, regulated and quality controlled from the computer-controlled operations room. Our laboratory ensures that the quality of the semi-finished products and of the finished cement is constantly matching with our quality standards and objectives. The quality objectives are fixed under ISO 9001 standards in order to meet our customer’s quality expectations.
A significant part of the production is requested by our customers to be delivered in bulk from the hermetic silos where they are stored in our 2 plants or from our terminals. From the silo terminals, the bulk cement is transported by cement trucks to our customer’s silos. The rest of the production is packed in 50 kg and 25 kg paper bags placed on 2 ton and 1.6 ton wooden pallets.
