Portland cement is ordinary cement obtained by Portland cement clinker. The cements type I and type II are considered as Portland according to the Bulgarian standard BDS EN 197-1. The standard specifies the requirements of all components of the cement types as well as the mixing proportions and regulates the mechanical, physical and chemical characteristics, and the heat of hydration.
